The first thing i noticed was how clean it was. The service was excellent and the food was great and exactly what I wanted. I will be back again and again!
MoreAlways a great home town restaurant
Stopped here with a friend on our way through town. Friendly service and good prices. The waitress was so sweet and the service was fast. Nice little local stop. Limited menu during COVID- but still lots to choose from. We both had breakfast items and they were very good!
MoreDefinely "no frills." Good food, service, and price
Great cafe for food and service.
I called in a biscuit and gravy meal and I walked in two minutes after I called it in they had it ready instantly for me with great customer service as I was sitting here eating the biscuits and gravy it has amazing flavor it's a really good down-home country cooked meal I will definitely be returning on a regular basis
MoreHole in the wall mom and pop cafe. Great food, not so great atmosphere. Different lights and a fresh goat of anything but glossy paint would go a long way. Great wait staff! Great local feel. Will be back soon.
MoreA nice little breakfast place. Quiet with a friendly staff.
Ordered the breakfast burrito with chorizo. Couldn't taste the chorizo (I think they left it out because chorizo is hard to miss!); the eggs were overcooked and rubbery and dry; there were large chunks of nearly raw onion and green pepper; bland green chili. After reading other reviews I had high expectations. This was a real let down.
MoreGood food good prices great service
Its definitely not an upscale restaurant by any means, everything looks antiquated, but that's also part of its charm. It's a quiet little place on the corner of its little plaza that it's in. My girlfriend and I are avid biscuits and gravy fans and theirs is your traditional, down home, grandma style, with soft biscuits and creamy gravy. We've been to far too many places that try and reinvent the wheel by making biscuits that taste like they've been on the rack too long by being super crunchy and tasteless and gravy made with kale or weird ingredients and charging twice as much for them to boot! This place on the other hand was priced more than fairly for the food and service and we will definitely be back for more!
MoreAlways good - good portion of food- Moe does a great job- service is great - highly recommend for breakfast or lunch- our favorite place
MoreGreat everything, thank you.
Always good consistent quality no frills food. Extremely nice local people own this place and do a great diner fair.
MoreFood is fantastic as always, if you're looking for a simple meal in old Town this place is the best!
MoreThe service was good. It's an really nice feel. An unexpectedly classic neighborhood greasy spoon like you could find in the best American nooks.
MoreBreakfast was pretty good. The patio is nice and cozy
Good tasting food and nice people working there to keep you happy.
I don't usually leave reviews, but I was impressed by the price, and quality, and the timeliness of our server and the food in general. For some reason no one realizes that they don't need to wait around for a while to give you your check or wait around an extreme amount of time to look at your menu. This is the one place that didn't make you feel rushed and you can eat your meal in under 45 minutes. I had one of the nicest times here.
More$30 dollars for my girlfriend and I to have lunch which looked like sandwiches my kids slapped together. Having to listen to one of the staff make comments expressing her ignorant political views made the environment as bad as the food. Whoever is giving this place five stars must either be associated with the business or used to eating prison food. It's not good. I have no idea how it stays open when there are so many truly good places to eat nearby. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
MoreMy favorite breakfast spot in Fort Collins! If you're looking for a classic, home cooked American breakfast this is the place!
MoreThe food is good but the cozy atmosphere is great.
Best food! Love that place
One of my preferred locations for quality Cafe food. Nothing to complain about. I'll return friends next time.
MoreNot another "breakfast restaurant," the Mountain Cafe is an honest-to-goodness diner in the heart of town, with burgers and monte cristos and more alongside the omelets and hash browns. Those hash browns are a delicious example of the finely-shredded variety, by the way, with a great variety of textures from the tender to the crispy. Food is very good, prices fair for the neighborhood. Very good, old-school cafe.
MoreI don't think we'll be eating here again. I ordered the Monte Cristo. The bread was soggy, mushy and had no flavor. It was served with a tiny portion of jam - and thank goodness because I needed that to get the food down. The fries were also soggy and very greasy with no flavor. Aside from my date, the experience wasn't good. When I popped on to write the review, I was surprised to see all of the 5 stars. I am easy to please but this was not good food by any stretch. I think one whole star is too much, but I couldn't post without giving it one.
MoreSmall hometown feel and the food was great. Staff was friendly and nice.
Wonderful as always. Born and raised in ft. Collins. Remember when this was a small hamburger place.
MoreAwesome breakfast Cafe with good food. Had patio seating.
Perfect local diner. Not pretentious. Good food and very friendly service
Food was great for breakfast, but don't be in a hurry. Good value for the area. I'd go again.
MoreGreat service and good food. Prices on the high side for a small diner, but not unreasonable.
MoreGreat place, all around wholesome! Always enjoy my time with mo (pops), and crew!
MoreThis cute little cafe was our first stop in FC after getting in after a long delayed flight from Chicago and it did not disappoint. We were surprised there was no wait as the omelette was out of this world, the veggies were super fresh, and they even added broccoli and tomato at our request. The breakfast burrito had two sauce options - a chili sauce or sausage gravy, both of which were delicious, and the fresh homemade salsa was phenomenal. Service was prompt, prices were reasonable, and the coffee hit the spot. Fresh ingredients and friendly service made quite the first impression for our first Fort Collins dining experience. Will be back when I'm back in town!
MoreAwesome local cafe. Great food great company.
Super nice people.. great service.. but the food prices just donβt justify a return for me. 1000 percent markup on food cost? Come on
MoreGreat service I didn't even take 10 minutes to get my food
Nice place. good food. Good prices.
It's definetly not fancy. A small ma' and pa' shop with friendly service and decent food. Our (me and my girlfriend) server was sweet, attendant and brought our food out quickly. Decently priced and pretty good. You want find anything your grandparents didn't used to eat.
MoreOver priced, unfriendly. I heard this place was good but my wife and I did not like the food or the unfriendly lady who served us.
MoreGreat food and quick and friendly service! I didn't catch my server's name but she was so sweet!
MoreAmazing food! Super reasonable prices! The breakfast burrito is smothered in gravy and cheese and probably the best in town. The Spanish omelette is to die for. Great location, amazing service, and a hearty amount of food. Takes cards and cash. Good coffee.
MoreNice little place for a quick breakfast or lunch. Nice friendly staff. Charles Sparks RE/MAX Alliance
MorePerfect spot for a family brunch. We showed up with a large group and they made room for us. The waitress was one of the best we have had anywhere, the food was good and reasonably priced.
MoreHonest, simple, traditional home-style breakfast cooking. No frills or unnecessary garnishes, just excellent, non-fussy and delicious food! Decent portions, great prices, and prompt service can be expected consistently. I will be coming back here indefinitely!
MoreLove this little place! We sat in the patio and enjoyed every sip of coffee and bite of food! Service was amazing - everyone took time to talk with us and everyone there is so friendly! The food here is incredible - they use fresh everything and it's amazing! We had the breakfast burrito and the omelette - each incrediant was flavored and cooked to perfection. The salsa is made fresh and is out of this world! It is a mom and pop diner with a homey feel. Definitely make this a stop on your food tour of FC.
MoreHot water for tea, great home made sandwich, great home made french fries, and the place reminded me of a 1960s diner. Go. Food is great
MoreAwesome breakfast and service. I cannot wait to try some of the lunch items too! Basic diner food cooked well. Although busy, fairly quick.
MoreMichelle was attentive and friendly. The food quality, presentation and value were very good. Parking is adequate between street and a small lot. Varied seating with tables, booth and counter options available. The cafe specials are unique and worthy of being "special".
MoreBest chicken fried steak I've ever had! Ask for a side of their homemade salsa, it's incredible. Had the huevos rancheros special last time and it was delicious, especially the crispy hash browns. One of the top three breakfast joints in Fort Collins and the best part is, you never have to wait for a table.
